Competent and pre-competitive swimmers:
The club runs 30 minute classes during school terms. The classes take place in Haywards Heath on Tuesday mornings. Members swim in small friendly classes according to ability.
The classes focus on further improving stroke technique, stamina and speed. This is achieved through more advanced drills, aquatic breathing techniques and distance swimming, all of which provide a solid workout for the experienced swimmer.
The stroke turns and transitions are included and where appropriate, sprinting and racing starts. For swimmers wanting to dive, a safe progression of exercises is taught in deep water.
Swimming at this level can also improve performance in triathlons and open water swimming. It can even be the inspiration to become a swimming teacher!
